Granted, La Tech and Misipi St ain't the stiffest competition in the world, but you have to admit we look far better than at any time last year. We'll see where we both stand after your Florida game and our West Virginia game.

BTW, where is Tomlinson? I want to hear him say something about his prediction we would lose to Misipi St 4-3.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8320221605077796058.post-43238000563137222812009-09-13T12:00:14.224-04:002009-09-13T12:00:14.224-04:00Given the distribution of talent across the countr...Given the distribution of talent across the country, I don't think it's possible to have a successful team without a QB who can make winning plays, not just manage the game. That's certainly true against the better teams.

We saw two freshmen -- Forcier at Ann Arbor and Barkley at SC -- show just how big an impact the position can and should have. Amazing performances by a couple of kids.

Garcia won the game against Georgia about four times, despite the ridiculous number of mistakes and penalties by his teammates.

UT won't be back among the elites until it has another killer behind center.
MGObserver Sportshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07996319410978004669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8320221605077796058.post-41645480487709646562009-09-13T11:57:24.125-04:002009-09-13T11:57:24.125-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Observer Sportshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07996319410978004669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8320221605077796058.post-80247474037836099672009-09-13T01:04:36.714-04:002009-09-13T01:04:36.714-04:00Crompton can't be that bad. They're both great QBs...only difference is Brady doesn't throw his linemen under the bus on national TV when things go wrong.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8320221605077796058.post-40140277018854077122009-09-13T00:19:47.135-04:002009-09-13T00:19:47.135-04:00I wouldn't say Crompton's the worst QB UT&...I wouldn't say Crompton's the worst QB UT's ever had.
