A supersized SEC?

Given all the talk of mutant superconferences, Jess Nicholas of Tidefans.com weighs in on this guesses of what teams go where. Early choices for SEC pledges: prodigal son Georgia Tech, Clemson, Florida State and Louisville.

Potential SEC deserters: Arkansas, Kentucky and Vanderbilt. It's all Magic 8 Ball stuff at this point, but get out your map and highlighters and have a read.

Florida State turned down the SEC in 1990 to join the ACC. They aren't going anywhere.

I can explain in 19 words why Big 10 expansion will not strengthen the conference if they take in the Northeast colleges and will not result in mass Northeastern TV viewers like everyone is saying. Here are the 19 words Washington Redskins, Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, New York Jets, New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers & Buffalo Bills.

Northeastern Colleges can’t get enough ink in the papers to print an exclamation mark! Thus the people have little to no interest in the NCAA. While most parts of the country focused on College football for a hundred years, the Northeast has focused on professional football for 91 years. BR
