What's LSU-Alabama without Gary and Verne

Quick Q&A on the biggest game of the season from the CBS crew of Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson.

I know Gary thinks highly of himself, but he knows the game and isn't afraid to tell you what he thinks and just saw. Verne stumbles these days more often than Gerald Ford, but he's still got the voice and presence to stand up to a Big Game atmosphere.

May be my Crimson paranoia, but I think Danielson believes LSU is goinna win.

See what you think.

Answer: "Enjoyable"

Oh, yes, Gary has all the answers. If you doubt that, just ask him.

Verne is the Frank Gifford of 20 years ago - a voice that once was great but now reminds you of a drunk old great-uncle. But yes, it is great theater.

So glad this game is in prime time. I was not looking forward to missing the first 20 minutes while the putrid ACC game drug on to 4:15 PM. I noticed that WBTV bowed in obedience to its pimp, Time Warner Cable, by making the 3:30 SEC game available from the kickoff - only to those people who are unintelligent enough or physically unable to switch to DirecTV.

Absolutely, J. Those two sounded like a pair of drunk sailors last night.
