'The State of Disappointment'

That's how this story in The Wall Street Journal sums up college football in South Carolina, adding, "There may be no state in America that has a worse passion-to-production ratio."

Happy reading.

Given the foaming-at-the-mouth bloviating of UNC-CH fans, I don't believe the passion-to-production ratio is any better in North Carolina.

It's certainly a lot better in Alabama, and that includes the Perkins, Curry and Shula eras at 'Bama and the latter portions of the Dye, Bowden and Tuberville eras at Auburn.
