Ole Miss 25, LSU 23

While this may make a lovely holiday gift, you really don't need to be putting a knife into the hands of an LSU fan right about now. -- RTR

Les Miles completely fell apart at the end. He lost 20 precious seconds on the clock by waiting too long to call time out. Then he had his team spike the ball with 1 second to play. Hey Les, do you know how long a second is? Are you familiar with the laws of the universe? Sure the chances of a successful TD or field goal on the last play would have been low but they would have been higher than absolute zero. On the other hand Ole Miss deserved to win this one. They outplayed the Tigers all day.

When LSU got to the 30 I thought they had it in the bag. As Bigdawg said, why wait so long to call timeout after the sack? There were 25 seconds left after the sack but they didn't call timeout until 9 seconds left. That is the biggest blunder. But the attempt to spike the ball with 1 second left doesn't seem like the sort of mistake you would expect from any college-educated person. You'd think they would have run a play...
